27 Players and guests took to a course which resembled more a desert than the usual oasis! However given the very dry Summer, everybody was complimentary on its presentation, some even telling me that they had driven over 300 yards!
Winner of the Presidents Cup, with a fine score of 39 points was Tony Robinson, very well done on his first outing this year! Runner up on countback with 34 points was Absi Ganatra from John Summerbell.
Team winners were Paul Green, Anant Suchak and Graham Kilbey with 85 points.
The only comment on Ashridge was that the attendance was well down on previous years and perhaps it is time that we considered an alternative.
Finally grateful thanks go to Stuart Bremner and Richard Walker, both club members, for ensuring the very smooth running of the day.
